“Let’s ～.”の伝達動詞は suggest to ～ that …
【解説】
We said to him, “Let’s go on a picnic.”
= We ( suggested )( to ) him that we ( should ) go on a picnic.
「私たちは彼にピクニックに行こうと提案した」
“Let’s ～.”という表現を間接話法に変換しましょう。
伝達動詞は suggest, または propose 「提案する」を取ります。
後の that 節には should を取ります。
アメリカ英語では should を用いず、動詞は原形になります。
We suggested to him that we go on a picnic.
主語が 1人称（ I, we ）のときは、that 節の主語は we にします。
自分もピクニックに行くからです。
もし、主語が３人称であれば（自分がその中に含まれていなければ）that 節の主語は they にします。
誰と誰が話しているのか、状況をよく考えて変換するようにしましょう。
