仮定法を用いた構文を覚える！
【解説】
He treated me like a child.
= He treated me (as)(if) I (were) a child.
「彼は私を子供のように扱う」
=「彼は私をあたかも子供であるかのように扱う」
as if の後の時制は和訳だけで決めることができます。
「まるで～するかのように」→ … as if … 過去形 …
「まるで～したかのように」→ … as if … had p.p. …
He looks as if he were sick.
「彼はまるで病気であるかのようだ」
He looks as if he had been sick.
「彼はまるで病気であったかのようだ」
例文で覚えておこう。
仮定法なので、従属節の動詞の時制は主節の影響を受けません。
問題文で言うと、treats であろうが、treated であろうが、as if の後の動詞の時制は影響を受けないということです。
和訳だけで決めていいということです。
口語では as if の後に、現在形や現在完了形もとります。
