仮定法に必ず if があるわけではない！
【解説】
If you had helped me, I could have succeeded.
= (With) your help, I could have succeeded.
「あなたの援助があれば、私は成功していただろうに」
if があるのが仮定法と考えるのは間違いです。
if を用いない仮定法の表現は数多くあります。
問題文では、with による前置詞句（副詞）が if 節の働きをしています。
with ～「もし～があれば」
反対語は
without ～ 「もし～がなければ」
になります。
if 節の代用をする語句を覚える！
【不定詞】
To hear him speak English, you would take him for an American.
「彼が英語を話すのを聞けば、あなたは彼をアメリカ人と間違えるだろう」
【主語】
A man of sense would be ashamed of such behavior.
「分別のある人ならば、そのような行為を恥じるだろう」
【名詞＋and】
A little more effort, and you would have succeeded.
「もう少し努力していたら、あなたは成功していただろうに」
【otherwise（副詞）「もしそうでなければ」】
I got up at six, otherwise I would have missed the train.
「私は６時に起きた。もしそうでなければ、私は電車に乗り遅れていただろう」
他にも if を用いない仮定はたくさんあります。
その場合には、助動詞の過去（ would, could, might など）が仮定法の目印になります。
助動詞の過去をみたら仮定法かなと考える！
