「富士山は日本で一番高い山だ」
「富士山は日本の他のいかなる山よりも高い」
「日本の山で富士山ほど高い山はない」
結局どれも富士山が一番高いということを表しています。
比較級 than any other 単数形の名詞「他のいかなる～よりも…」という意味です。
肯定文に用いた any は単数形の名詞を修飾し、「どんな～でも」という意味があります。
No other 名詞の単数形 + as (so) ～ as …「…ほど～なものは他にない」
not as ～ as …「…ほど～ない」
not so ～ as …「…ほど～ない」
どちらも同じ意味です。
so を用いた方がやや感情がこもっているような感じがしますが、ほとんど変わりません。
これらの表現を覚えておきましょう。
